The United States of America is divided into 50 states and each state has its National Guard. The National Guard is primarily divided into two categories: Army National Guard and Air National Guard. The role of the National Guard of the United States is twofold: First, it is a national force serving the country in emergency or war, and secondly, it is the power of the state, under the control of the governor, ready to help citizens in times of internal crisis or disaster.
Almost all positions within the National Guard are part-time as members are supposed to serve a weekend a month and are trained for only two weeks in a year. Also, members can take advantage of two lives as civilian full-time, while obtaining the benefits of a military career, which has excellent benefits, such as raising the school fees, build skills career and a regular salary. In return, they must be prepared to serve the country when the need arises. Members of the National Guard service People close to them and society as a whole.
Tasks
The first duty of the Air National Guard and the Army Guard National is to help protect people in times of crisis, and serve the country in an emergency. Apart from that, he or she must pass a fitness test and clear the Armed Services Vocational Aptitude Battery Test (ASVAB). Once done, a recruit can choose a specific career interest and reserve a position before the beginning of the training program. In addition to payroll and fee waivers in certain schools in their state, other benefits enjoyed by members are life insurance premium rates very low, and commercial benefits in canteens and military base exchanges, where they can buy electronic products and other goods at cheaper prices.
Career Options
The state and the federal government is leading National Guard Army. The career options in the National Guard Army can be mainly classified into three sections – combat support combat support and combat service. Minnesota State University Moorhead is located in Moorhead, Minnesota. It is a four-year university audience with a workforce of nearly 7500 students and 337 full-time faculty.
