We have noticed, over time, as the Green initiative to save our planet earth beloved is recovering in the world. It is a little late, but I would agreed to be late than sorry is even better. Computers, electronics, vehicles, almost all the sectors it is a new phenomenon born of going green. And my friends, general aviation is also high. Or at least he took a leading role, this year for sure.
The Innovative Partnership Program at NASA and the aircraft flight efficiency compared Foundation (CAFE) have joined forces and announced the upcoming CAFE Green Challenge Flight to EAA AirVenture 2009. Teams from around the world are invited to participate in this competition to be held in June 2011 on the California airport in Santa Rosa. Guess what the stock price is it? The goal is to have a GA aircraft fly at speeds less than 100 mph, and extinguish at least 200 passenger miles per gallon of gasoline demonstrated over a distance of 200 miles traveled. In other words, 100 mpg fuel burn for an airplane 2 seater, with 2 pilots weighing 200 pounds each. Just in case if there is not even a single competitor to achieve this objective, there is a possibility consolation prize, amounting to $ 153,000. But I'm sure he would not be necessary for the consolation prize.
The deadline early bird for this application is December 31, 2009, with an entrance fee of $ 4,000. The registration fee increases after the date limit early risers. So what do you guys think?
