Despite his loss to Million Dollar Baby at the Oscars, The Aviator could be proud of being named one of the best films of the year (Finding Neverland, Ray and Sideways). And the film is certainly worthy of this honor. Few films better illustrate the beauty of America, or, more importantly, the mountains which can be moved only when a person lives his life ambition, drive, inspiration and enthusiasm to bare all that life has to offer. Overall, The Aviator is one of the best films of recent years and film aficionados would be well advised to observe each last minute with the same enthusiasm of a young Howard Hughes …
