The Union Cabinet has been expanded with the swearing in of 59 ministers at Rashtrapati Bhavan. President Pratibha Patil has given the oath of office to 14 Ministers, 7 Ministers of State with independent charge and 38 ministers of state.
In the first round of inductions, May 22, 19 Cabinet Ministers were sworn account for the Office of the Union now stands at 78, excluding the first Minister.
