History
Danzas was founded in 1815 and was originally based in Basel, Switzerland.
Louis Danzas defeated Napoleon at Waterloo. After this battle, he joined a shipping company owned by Michel l'Eveque and in 1840 became part owner. The company, Danzas and Bishop, received a mail delivery franchise from Havre to New York in 1846. A branch of Basel opened its doors in 1854.
The company began to use public transport air in 1920 between France and England, and opened its own freight terminal in Paris in 1962.
In 2000, Deutsche Post World Net has acquired Danzas. When the company mother acquired DHL International in 2002, it has fully integrated Danzas, DHL and EuroExpress under the DHL brand, rename and Danzas DHL Danzas Air & Ocean.
In 2005, Deutsche Post fell Danzas brand and renamed the business unit of DHL Global Forwarding.
